Hello my friends! It’s Stacy here from CraftaholicMomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog. Today I have a card for you using the Stampendous Giraffe stamp and die combo set. There are two things that I really like about this set. One, you can take the background die and use it with any stamp you have in your collection to make a tree scene. You can make it like the safari I made here, or you could use it as a meadow tree or Halloween dead tree just by changing up the colors of card stock you cut. Two, the giraffe set is so cute and versatile. You could mirror stamp a second one and entwine their necks around each other for an adorable love you card. There’s just so much you can do with it!!
I masked off the card layer with a circle die and masking paper. I used blending brushes and Distress Oxide inks to create the horizon and safari sky. I die cut the tree with black card stock and made it into a frame with a second circle die from my stash. I adhered this over the inked background with liquid adhesive. I stamped, die cut and colored the giraffe with Copic Markers. Stamping the sentiment and popping the giraffe and card layer up on foam adhesive finished it off nicely.
I think it fits in nicely with this month’s theme of “In the Wild”. I would love to go on an African safari someday. I just LOVE giraffes and elephants!
Thanks for visiting,
